Newstead Technologies (a Singapore based IT retailer) is embarking on Gift Your Tech campaign to raise funds for its beneficiary – Touch Community Service!

Newstead Technologies wants to encourage e-waste recycling in Singapore by rewarding cash vouchers to people who trade in their old electronic items. Through the campaign, they aim to educate Singaporeans on the importance of data cleansing and security.

Basically, Gift Your Tech campaign is e-recycling your old electronics and receive cash vouchers in return!

Electronics accepted for e-recycling are PCs, notebooks, tablets and smartphones!

If your electronics are still in a resalable condition, you can trade them in and a cash voucher of equivalent value will be given to you! You can use the vouchers (valid one year from the date of issue) to purchase a new item from Newstead!

Most importantly, 20% of the trade-in value will be donated to charity - TOUCH Community Services. Getting vouchers and doing a good cause at the same time, killing two birds with one stone! Yay!

If your items are non-resalable, Newstead will provide help to do a complete data cleansing and then recycle the product! In return, you will receive a booklet of discount vouchers to be used at all Newstead stores.

Join me to e-recycle all my old electronics now! I really think its a great initiative by Newstead because 20% of every trade in will be given to charity.

Also not forgetting you can use the vouchers to purchase new products! Did I mentioned that vouchers can be combined too?! :D

Which means new electronics for Christmas!!!! It would also make a great gift idea for your loved ones.

The Gift Your Tech campaign runs from now till 27 Jan 2017 with the official event happening on 28th Dec 2016 at Marina Square! Mark that date and bring all your old electronics items to the event road-show for trade-in or e-recycling!

There will be discussion about data security and e-waste recycling if you are interested. Live demonstration of proper data cleansing for electronic items will be shown as well!

If you can't make it for the roadshow, fret not! Exchanges can also be done at any of the 12 Newstead stores in Singapore.
