What better way to get out of your typical off-day’s idle slumber and take the time to visit art museums, public art attractions, and hangout places waiting for you in just a borough, or two. Imagine the famous hip town, Shoreditch, London is here in Singapore for all art lovers and non-art lovers to enjoy. High street, and it’s friendly neighbours are filled with inspiring places to feed your artsy fartsy soul, all year round.
As a designer myself who supports the local arts scene, I present the coolest most comprehensive list of 4 places, I personally compiled!

Canvas, a club, that is so popular that many millenniums refer to going to canvas as mandatory pilgrimage. Whether it’s Friday night’s The Bronx or their Chanel No. 5’s launch show - there’s always something going on at Canvas, 6 days a week. Aptly named, the club is perfect for art-lovers as Canvas allows the public to connect to art, and the art connect to the public as a creative space during the daytime, and a vibrant club with its neon-lit dance floor at night. It’s the place to be in 2017, and the years to come.

Remember the old Funan Centre where you often go to to repair your broken phone or laptop. It’s been over a year since it has closed its doors to the public, and now it has become one of Singaporeans go-to places for graffiti walls. The arts surround the building parameters with graffiti spray painted onto the construction gates. It is definitely not your typical construction eyesore. The art wall at Funan juxtaposes the seriousness and solemness of Singapore’s Central Business District, while paying homage to the local arts scene. From artists, for art.
